The Institute Of Management Accountants And Robert Half Accept Nominations For 2004 Financial Executive Of The Year Award
MENLO PARK, CA -- In recognition of the exceptional achievements of professionals in the finance and accounting fields, the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and Robert Half (RHI) are cosponsoring the 2004 Financial Executive of the Year Award program. This is the second year the organizations have joined to honor outstanding financial leaders. Nominations are being accepted through September 1, 2004.
Awards will be presented in December to outstanding professionals in each of IMA’s participating U.S. regions. In addition, one nominee will receive the prestigious national award.
The Institute of Management Accountants created the Financial Executive of the Year Award in 1995 to recognize the outstanding performance, accomplishments and contributions of financial executives. “These honors enable us to expand our commitment to the industry and recognize leaders who exemplify the highest professional standards,” said Paul A. Sharman, ACMA, interim executive director of IMA.
Paul Gentzkow, president and chief operating officer of staffing services for Robert Half, said, “The Financial Executive of the Year Award recognizes industry leaders who not only excel in their positions but demonstrate an ongoing commitment to inspiring and assisting those around them. We’re pleased to be working with IMA to honor the most dedicated financial professionals.”
All regional winners receive a two-year IMA membership, a gift delivered to their place of work and an invitation to an honorary banquet where they are presented their award. In addition, the national winner receives a three-year IMA membership and a $2,500 scholarship donated to the school of his or her choice. This recipient also will be featured in Strategic Finance, IMA’s national award-winning monthly print magazine.
Anyone can nominate a financial executive. Both IMA members and non-members are eligible for the award, and any person interested can submit a nomination. A nomination form and additional information can be found at www.rhi.com/feya.
